Sleep Health & Safety, Congressional Briefing April 10, 2014

On Thursday April 10, 2014 at 12 noon, the Sleep Research Society (SRS) and the American Academy for Sleep Medicine (AASM) will be hosting an insightful congressional briefing on sleep health and safety in  B-340 RAYBURN HOUSE OFFICE BUILDING. Congressman Mike Honda (D-CA-17) will also be making remarks at this Congressional briefing.

SRS leadership will speak on sleep research advancements and strategies to improve sleep health, especially as it relates to public health safety concerns. Also joining us is Dr. Martin Walker, with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation, to speak about the impact of sleep on transportation.

Please RSVP to Lesia Griffin at Griffin@hmcw.org or 202-544-7499.

Julie’s Note: I wish I could attend in person, but I will be cheering from Los Angeles. A BIG thank you to Congressman Honda, Dr. Zee, Dr. Walker, Dr. Pack, SRS and AASM for raising awareness about the importance of sleep!
