Random Remmie Joins NARCOLEPSY: NOT ALONE Campaign Guest Post by Julie Barfuss

Meet “Random Remmie” – she’s had narcolepsy for as long as she can remember. She hates making her bed, she has a lot of pajamas, slippers, and a blue blanket. She’s really random.

Julie BarfussAbout the Artist: Julie Barfuss has lived in Utah her whole life. She doesn’t remember not being tired.  She struggled to stay awake in school and barely graduated with one of the lowest GPA’s one could graduate with.  The first class Julie ever failed was art. She never graduated from stick figures. Narcolepsy has a tendency to put Julie in a funk, so she draws to keep her spirits up.

REM Runner’s Note:
Thank you, Julie for creating these fun educational cartoons about living with narcolepsy. You’ve hit the nail on the head and made me laugh many times over. Thank you, Random Remmie for joining the NARCOLEPSY: NOT ALONE campaign!

I love the random remmie series! I could be having such a terrible day with my symptoms but as soon as I read one of these comics it totally turns my day around. They help me realize that it’s okay to find humor within the struggles of N and sometimes laughter really is the best medicine! 🙂

Thank you so much for these drawings. They made me laugh! Are there any more? While Narcolepsy isn’t fun to have, it’s nice we can laugh about it.
