Raising Narcolepsy Awareness at KYSS Conference

Screen shot 2013-10-28 at 8.03.57 PMOn October 12, I had the honor of speaking at Kentucky Sleep Society’s 15th Annual Sleep Medicine Conference in Louisville, KY. The Society’s membership includes sleep doctors and sleep technicians.

I gave my favorite presentation – my personal story of narcolepsy from beginning symptoms all the way through the NARCOLEPSY: NOT ALONE campaign. Highlighting the campaign was an exciting well-received addition to my story. I’m so proud of this campaign!

Over 100 attendees listened closely. There were tears and hugs. I felt so incredibly lucky – I got to share my story and folks enjoyed listening! I also sold and signed many books. It was a huge success and an experience I will never forget. Thank you to Kathryn and Bob for giving me this tremendous opportunity to raise narcolepsy awareness!

    Julie,
Thanks again for joining us in Louisville for our annual Kentucky Sleep Society meeting. The feedback regarding your presentation from our attendees was all positive. I hope you have the opportunity to discuss your experiences with narcolepsy at many other medical meetings.
By the way, your memoir is required reading at our sleep center!
