It Only Takes One: The Friendship that Gave Me the Courage to Start Sleep Walk

Three years ago, I started the first SLEEP WALK unsure if anyone would show up. My good friend Gail said she would join me and I believed her. “As long as I’m not alone,” I told myself.

Gail was there – the first year, the second year and the third year. She has generously given her time, folding tables and key logistical support to help make each Sleep Walk a success.

Gail’s friendship is one of those unique gifts in life – we met in a memoir writing class, brought together by our personal grief and life challenges, our friendship quickly grew into a celebration of life with common interests in art, photography, comedy shows, Italian food, cappuccinos and tea.

Thank you Gail for being there for me, 3 years in a row! I wanted to celebrate our friendship on my blog – for anyone looking to take on a life dream – remember , it only takes one person believing in you to find the courage to start. Begin now. Begin anywhere. Just begin. The world will rise to meet you at your goal.
