Before I Die…

“Before I die…” caught me off-guard on Saturday. I was driving down 14th street NW in DC, when I slammed on the brakes and pulled over. I didn’t know what to expect, but the beautiful messages of hope and love made my day! I took photos but  didn’t contribute to the wall. I mulled it over all weekend. Here’s my answer:

“Before I die, I want to visit the world’s biggest Buddha statues (the ones that still exist).” See: 17 Biggest Buddhas On EarthWhat do you hope for before you die?

Before I die is a global art project that invites people to reflect on their lives and share their personal aspirations in public space. This project was started by Candy Chang on an abandoned house in New Orleans after she lost someone she loved.  Thank you to Sophie Miller and Dan Blah for bringing the project to DC!
